So now, 5 years later, I did not hesitate in the least when I needed surgery for an epigastric hernia repair, Dr Yang is the man!! "I started 2024 with my first ever surgery (and I'm turning 70!)--first time with general anesthesia and first incision--so I was nervous. My internist recommended Dr. Yang, and he was fantastic. During my first visit, he explained very clearly all about my inguinal hernia, and that it should be repaired soon. He was very patient, answered all my questions, and was honest about expected recovery and protocols to follow. His office staff was likewise very helpful and responsive. The nurses at Holy Name Hospital were so attentive, and they mentioned that I was very lucky to have Dr. Yang, as "he is an excellent surgeon who is fast and efficient, which really helps with recovery." They were absolutely right. Dr. Yang stopped in right before the surgery to say hello, answer any further questions, and discuss pain management for post-surgery. I actually felt quite calm and confident going into the procedure. Thanks to Dr. Yang and all who assisted, I was back in recovery in under 2 hours (9am!), felt absolutely fine, and then felt quite good thereafter (it's a dozen days later now). I never had any pain at all, and, if not for the microscopic incision and some swelling, I would have doubted that the procedure ever took place! A week later Dr. Yang removed my bandage and cleared me to return to my gym workouts, taking it easy at first. I cannot more highly recommend Dr. Yang (if surgery is needed). I am forever grateful!"
