"There continues to be a disconnect between patient care and the doctor. I have yet to experience a physicians devotion to the full patient experience. With years in the business, one would conclude that this would come easy. Nonetheless, the experience was less than warranted with the lack of communication and lack of compassion for the patient. Forcing something (cast) on to a patient to then later request currency, is not equal to implying there needs to be therapy for recovery which entails a product (cast) which may infer a cost. 2 different ways of saying something to a patient without being dishonest, in order to make a buck. To then have the staff pretend this is a total shock!! Did no one verify if there was an associated cost? And if there was information relative to a cost for this product, why isn't this being discussed with the patient at that time? It's actually pretty shocking that a cost isn't discusses at time of recommendation!! It seem the process is, "hey, lets get you feeling better with A,B,C." "thanks doctor. I'll see you soon." "Sure, just see the ladies up front." Ladies up front -"Sir, your bill is $120!!"...... And if this is in network, I feel sorry for those out of network!! Where is the humanity in our doctors? Just my unfortunate experience."
