Welcome to Great Outdoors Dog Academy LLC, your premier destination for Real World Training and Behavior Management for dogs in Central Ohio. Conveniently located at 6395-6401 Stonebridge St, Columbus, OH 43229, we are dedicated to providing a low-stress, high-quality, positive, safe, fun, and engaging learning environment for both dogs and their humans.

Founded in 2013 by two passionate professional dog trainers in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C., Great Outdoors Dog Academy (GODA) quickly gained a reputation for excellence. After achieving significant success and growth, we relocated to Central Ohio in 2016 to continue our mission.

Our unique Great Outdoors theme is inspired by the vibrant world that you and your dog share, full of exciting sights, sounds, smells, and wagging tails. While classroom and in-home learning are essential for a solid training foundation, we recognize that real-world distractions can often challenge even the best training intentions. That's why we emphasize training in a variety of neutral and social settings, including hikes, parks, neighborhoods, vehicles, shopping centers, restaurant patios, and other challenging environments. This approach allows us to offer high-quality training and behavior consultations across a wide geographic area in Central Ohio.

At GODA, we believe in a force-free, positive reinforcement training platform to nurture the bond between dog and handler. Our services include socialization and training field trips to enhance your timing and techniques while strengthening your dog's ability to focus and trust. Additionally, we offer day school (training) and pet sitting on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to call in advance for scheduling.
