Crouse Medical Practice at Manlius

"I have to see multiple specialist causing me to miss substantial amount of work on a weekly basis and the doctor, although very well aware of the multiple specialist seen, says he will not help me maintain my job by completing necessary documents for FMLA, saying it's illegal! I have proof of all my medical conditions in front of him and appointments I require and instead wanted to add another specialist to my list to add to my hell. Very unethical and treat people as if the have no right to a service they deserve. I want my career and to continue working, so instead he is willing for me to lose my job because my health appointments are not his problem. Highly suggest a different provider if you have significant health issues and are employed."

"My provider at this practice left and I was assigned Paraskos Araouzos, MD (Dr. Perry), OMG, the man is horrible. He is more concerned with entering into his computer than looking you in the eye and asking questions. I was not pleased with my visit with this provider and I am told I cannot be assigned a different one. What? No issues, I just wasn't happy with his lack of caring. Never asked my history, or questions I was always asked on all visits with my previous provider there. I have a feeling this provider is a problem for this practice, by the way they responded when I asked for a different provider. I will be seeking a provider at another practice."

"My family was with a wonderful doctor through this practice for three generations- myself for 35 years, my parents before me and my son for five years since he’s been an adult. When our doctor retired, we were told there was not another taking ‘new’ patients. We were placed with a PA who seems nice personally but was not able to answer questions and did not inspire confidence. We asked again to be placed with an MD and again have been told there is not one available for us. There is no loyalty to long term patients in this practice so we have left."

"My husband and I recently moved here from Arizona and began the long, arduous process of finding new physicians. Crouse came highly recommended from our friends in the area so I called stating we were looking for primary care doctors and would also like recommendations for the specialists we would need to replace ad well. After being told that the doctor was accepting new patients we were asked about our medical conditions and current medications. My husband is a cancer survivor (cancer free since 2013) and I have a spinal deformity that has to be dealt with through specialists. There was a sudden, sharp change in attitude after this. We were told they would have to see if the doctors would be willing to "deal with us". I recieved a very nasty message a short time later indicating Crouse would not be willing to see us as patients due to our "undesirable" medical history. There were other extremely rude things said that literally floored me. We had the same doctors for years back in AZ and have excellent health insurance as well as my husband having Medicare. In all the years we fought my husband's cancer and all the time we have spent with doctors, hospitals, different practices I have never experienced anything like this. Stay far away. You may become "undesirable" one day and find yourself dumped by these doctors."

"Went to Dr Buchan today for my annual physical. I have been a patient at the Crouse location for the last 20 years. My physician there retired. I’m thrilled to be at the Manlius location. Meeting Dr Buchan and her nurse was a really pleasant experience! Dr Buchan was very thorough and took time to listen to me. I can not say enough in this day and age of the stress on the medical community that ends up with patients feeling not heard or time taken. This was a wonderful experience and I’m so happy to be at this practice."
