Reviews
"They take a minimum Of 3 weeks to answer emails and they dont have functioning phones. I am a Czech Citizen and I cant obtain a family based visa for a family member to visit Czech Republic. It has been nearly 2 months and we are still nowhere. They are not any help when they actually work. Very disapointing."
"We had a very positive experience with the consulate, both in terms of the email communication leading up our appointment and the appointment itself. The staff was professional and courteous (which is usually not the case in embassies and consulates from my experienced). Sure the paperwork is perhaps more cumbersome than it needs to be (this is more of a Czech government issue) but it’s getting better than it used to be (and this matters) and the staff were very helpful and polite. I have to stress they were polite and helpful despite us exposing them to a screaming 3 month old baby. So, thank you for being understanding."
"Terribly rude staff, on email, telephone, and especially in person. I needed to complete a simple procedure to have the consulate issue a certificate saying that I do not have a criminal record in the Czech Republic. I was given different answers from different people about the procedure, and then told I was at fault for not following protocols after I was told contradictory information by different employees. Finally, when I drove 2 hours to the consulate and paid upwards of 50$ to park in a garage, I was refused service, and my mother, who is a senior citizen, and I were treated as if we were below second-class citizens. The whole process of dealing with this consulate was demeaning and excessively bureaucratic, and such a misrepresentation of the wonderful country and people it is supposed to represent."
"Shame on Czech Consulate and government. They don’t distinguish among people who really need help and assistance. Just blatant denial. Looks like they’re engaged in discrimination based on citizenship. Such a shame and total disappointment. Not to mention they do not answer emails and phone calls"
"Excellent, fast and highly professional service. Every time I’ve scheduled an appointment, I have moved forward with any documentation seamlessly. Thank you to ALL the staff from the front desk to their offices, especially to Mrs./Ms. Veselá And to Mrs. Vintrová. They are precise with each and every document, they are caring and highly knowledgeable."
