"What I'm about to say, a lot of people are going to disagree with. I was an active member a few years ago, and wound up leaving after the Pastor there invited a guest speaker who went on this really homophobic rant about how gay people were evil, and were going to burn in hell. Hey, look, I get it. If that's what you believe then that's what you believe. But, it made me feel uncomfortable to say the least, being that I'm a transgender woman. Some of the people that go there said, and did, some really homophobic things too when I came out of the closet. I can't stand behind a church that doesn't accept ALL of God's children, even the ones that might need saving. I didn't feel safe there after this... But I will also say that Pastor Jim is an amazing person. He's extremely devoted to God, and to his family, and is a kind soul. I don't agree with his stance on LGBT issues, but I can tell you that he's the number one thing I miss about that church. I really wish things were different."
