Founded by John F. Cox, a Vietnam veteran and skilled craftsman, our company was born from a desire for independence and dedication to quality work. Over the decades, Cox Construction has made its mark all over Long Island, from remodeling iconic Red Lobster Inns in the Northeast to crafting luxurious private homes in Old Field and Amagansett. Our expertise spans a wide range of services, including home improvements, bath and kitchen renovations, siding, windows, millwork, and trim.
In the late 1990s, at the request of John's wife, Kathy, we refocused our efforts closer to home, becoming a beloved fixture in the Sayville area. Our projects have since expanded to include restoring Victorian-era homes, building new homes, full remodels, home lifting, restaurant work, marina construction, and even jewelry store renovations.
Beyond construction, John Cox has been a pillar of the community, contributing to local landmarks such as the performance pavilion in the Common Ground Park, the food pantry at Gillette House, and the Welcome Center for the Sayville Chamber of Commerce. His dedication to Sayville is further evidenced by his tenure as President of the Sayville Chamber of Commerce since 2015.
As a proud member of the Green Building Council and a certified LEED AP, Cox Construction is committed to sustainable building practices. John continues to personally oversee every project, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
