Welcome to 4-H Camp Owahta, a vibrant summer destination located at 4826 Knecht Road, McGraw, New York! Nestled amidst the natural beauty of the region, our camp offers an exciting 7-week Day Camp program, with each week featuring a unique themed day to keep your child engaged and entertained. Whether your child attends for one week or multiple, they are guaranteed a memorable experience filled with fun and learning.

Join our camp community, led by our enthusiastic Camp Director, Kara. With a background in Biology Education and a passion for nurturing youth, Kara brings her expertise and love for camp life to 4-H Camp Owahta. Having served as our Waterfront Director and now as Camp Director, she is dedicated to creating a safe, enjoyable, and enriching environment for all campers.

We also have exciting career opportunities available for this camp season. If you're passionate about working in a dynamic, outdoor setting, consider joining our team. Download an application form and apply today for a chance to be part of our dedicated staff.

For your convenience, our camp hours are from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Families can choose to transport their children to and from camp, ensuring a seamless experience for everyone involved.

"My grandson goes every year loves it my daughter also went it's a great program"

"Counselors are terrible! They make up lies about electric eels in the swimming pond and scare all the children. Camp director agrees with lying so staff doesn't have to watch children as they swim and the electric eels will keep them from going under the dock. Worst of all they guilt a 11 year old for being scared of going in the pond. I will never send my child here again!"

"Great camp. Resident camp during the summer, many fun traditions. Cabins, long house, tent camping, arts and crafts, hiking, mess hall, archery range, nurse station,nature lodge,swimming, waterfront, canoeing and plenty more fun!!"
