"Tourists beware, you will be ticketed for bringing your money to this town. Rented a cabin on Grindstone, paid to use the municipal ramp, ate every day in Clayton, went to the Antique boat museum... and yet they don’t provide any kind of overnight parking for tourists or visitors to the town, despite the money we bring in. I got ticketed for overnight parking on the street, and when I called to complain I was told that there was a sign at the entrance to the town that there was no overnight parking. Boat ramp patrons are apparently supposed to park in a parking lot that is labeled as “Antique Boat museum patrons only, no overnight parking. Violators will be ticketed and towed at Owner’s expense.” Great way to welcome people to your town and encourage them to come back. Really left a sour taste in my mouth and ruined an otherwise pleasant vacation. I’ll think twice about visiting again in the future."
