"Mexico Village Cemetery provides a lovely 10+ acre environment for quiet reflection. The grounds and paths are beautifully landscaped and well-maintained except for the snowiest periods of winter. The Black Creek offshoot of the Little Salmon River runs around and through the grounds, and there are walking trails connecting to the adjoining woods. Memorials date from 1838 to the present day, and as with most cemeteries, there are no guides on site-so be sure to look up details beforehand if you're looking for a specific gravesite."

"James "Ripper" Collins, MLB player who played for the Cardinals, Cubs and Pirates in the '30's, and played for the Rochester Red Wings in the '20's, is buried here. I don't know where..."

"This cemetery is in the lovely village of Mexico, NY. And while it seems to be well cared for, unfortunately, it has no website and only a few of the headstones are identified. We were specifically looking for Thomas Congdon's grave who was our patriot for the Revolutionary War. There was no one around to ask and there seems to be limited information regarding this historically valuable cemetery. Sad."
