"Beautifully Calm, yet exquisite and perfect place to bring the family for a picnic. Right on the edge of Otsego Lake. Good spot to deploy a canoe or kayak for fishing or just perusing the lake itself. The view is something out of a post card."

"Mostly a historic marker at the edge of the lake, but the view is beautiful. In addition to the Council Rock marker, at the same location is a marker for Clinton's Dam (see the "different" photo). These photos are from October 2021 (a great time of year there)."

"Council Rock Park is a small park in Cooperstown that sits at the southern end of beautiful Lake Otsego. The interesting thing about this park is that it sits at the very beginning of the Susquehanna River. I found it intriguing to see the start of this river as I’m very familiar with many other parts of the it, including the other end as it stretches its way almost 500 miles into Maryland. Quite a difference in water quality between the start and end. Everything about this lake is such a beautiful sight to see. I didn’t want to leave after my short two days in Cooperstown."
