"Love this place. It was a holiday weekend so lots of people and very little privacy. I go here very frequently but enjoy it most when there are not so many people and we have open sites around us. Clean restroom and awesome new upgraded warm showers."

"I was there camping in the group area and it's a nice hike you can do 6-10 or more miles and some larger trails go through here.. and it's interesting if you know the science about glacially created kettle holes and the whole idea that a forest of pine trees is different and it's part of our central recharge area for the water going back into the ground for our aquifers. I was told you used to be able to swim in the pond but I don't mind and I think you also can use a kayak and other similar things in the pond in the main part of the park. I only dinged one star because it's an OK and pretty good camp ground but nothing exciting in the bathroom isn't amazing but OK. I would expect more than 2 toilets in the men's room."

"I've always loved the hike around the ponds and meeting up with the Paumanok Path. Great for a run, too. Maybe I'll do a race there!"

"Nice campsites. Campfires are allowed but no firepits....so bring your own. Nice lake but the dogs can’t swim because of snapping turtles. Wish they could do something about the ticks. The staff seemed very laid back which is cool because many Suffolk Parks have annoying militant staff members enforcing their ridiculous rules."
