"A strip of shingle beach beneath a steep staircase connected to the lighthouse. Many boulders line the shore. Sea ducks, gulls, periwinkle snails, and even a mated pair of swans from Hummel Pond can be seen if you're lucky. A Southold Residential Parking Permit is required."
