The Lackawaxen River Trails are the result of years of dedication and collaboration by the Wayne & Pike Trails & Waterways Alliance (WPTWA), a non-profit organization committed to trail development and community enhancement. With the support of local municipalities, grants from the PA Fish & Boat Commission (PFBC), and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), WPTWA has successfully turned a shared vision into reality.
Dedicated in October 2023, White Mills River Access Park is the first of three river access points made possible by over $1 million in grants. This park is nestled between the historic Dorflinger Glass Factory Museum and the White Mills Firehouse, offering a picturesque path along a tributary to the Lackawaxen River. It's a perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts, families, and anyone looking to connect with nature.
