"What a terrific experience. Visiting from out of town and brought our grandkids from Allen here. Such a great time. Lifeguards are top notch professionals. Pool is spotless. Place in run really well."

"Shaped like Our Great State, the Texas Pool has helped shaped the lives of children for decades now. It is a safe summer haven for Plano children, offering swim lessons, an afternoon of good clean fun and jobs for area teens. While we had a backyard pool when the kids were Littles, I am looking forward to taking my grandchildren to this historical landmark"

"I grew up in the neighborhood. Back in the 80's, the Texas Pool was an essential part of nearly every summer day for my ragtag group of friends. The "Panhandle" was where it was at. There used to be a very scary high diving board that seemed to be 30 feet in the air. The low diving board was the place to practice splash dives like preacher seats, jackknives, cannonballs, and cannon openers. The daring might break out a watermelon or even a "butt buster". Our goal was usually to try to splash the lifeguard watching the deep end. During adult swim breaks, all the kids would line the deep end and cheer on the dads. They would put on a huge splash exhibition, jumping off the high dive to create massive splash geysers that would have the entire pool sloshing with waves. I'm glad to see Texas pool still operating, and I hope to bring my own kids here this summer when we visit Dallas again."

"Kind of disappointing when you show up and see how small it is. It’s cute and very family friendly. Music is good. Good amount of shade. Con’s is yearly price. Fountains don’t work. Should have more umbrellas."

"One of the few Texas shaped swimming pools in the world. This historic (50 year old) pool is listed on the National Registry of Historic places and is a gem. Great place to take a day trip and chill by the pool. Lifeguards on duty. They also rent it out for parties. Birthday parties are a huge success here. You can also catch “Elizabeth Swims” the YouTube star swimming here sometimes."
