"I recently went to Wig Allure because I’m suffering from androgenic alopecia and the crown of my head is nearly bald. Mel greeted me with a smile and asked what I was looking for. She brought me out a number of hairpieces, both synthetic and natural hair pieces. She helped me choose the perfect color and length hairpiece. Mel made the whole experience very simple, easy and I wasn’t embarrassed at all. My baldness makes me so unhappy and self conscious and Mel made me comfortable and made my appointment a stress free one. Once I picked up the hairpiece, Mel helped me with the vision for my “hair”. She made natural bangs for me, trimmed the bottom so it would be even and taught me how to attach my hairpiece. I just adore Mel! "I would love to highly recommend Wig Allure for their expertise regarding wig and hair care, as well as their compassionate care of clients. I have be a client of Wig Allure since the start of my cancer treatment, and frankly the thought of losing my hair was completely traumatizing and I dreaded my appointment. Thankfully, Nancy greeted me with so much kindness at my initial consultation that I was immediately put at ease. She spent so much time with me, helping me to pick just the right wigs that would make me look and feel like myself. She also educated me on how to put on and care for my wigs, and helped me with the process of using my prescription from my oncologist to have my wig covered by insurance. About a year and a half later, as I finished chemo and my hair started to grow back, I decided to see if Wig Allure could help me once again by advising me on my options, as I didn't feel like wearing my wigs any longer. Nancy had a consultation with me and advised I get a keratin treatment to straighten my new chemo curls and get tape-in extensions to even out the length. She then matched my hair color and ordered them for me. I had no idea what any of that was until then, but it turned out to be the perfect recommendation for my wants/needs! No one even knew it wasn't my hair, and I felt like my old self once again! I began to work with Katherine at that time, who was so incredibly sweet, caring and knowledgeable as well! She really took the time during each appointment to get to know me, as well as answer all of my many questions. I was so grateful for her guidance during this time as regrowing my new hair has been a journey in itself!
