"I just would like to say that Dr Herman is a very kind and gentle surgeon! He pulled two teeth in one day and I didn’t even feel any pain whatsoever and I was awake for my surgery I don’t like to be put to sleep! He answered all my questions and was very nice to me he made me feel comfortable and the assistant as well she was wonderful. So anyone of you has something to say negative about him must not like the dentist but it’s something that Has to be taken care of any of you had a bad experience I’m sorry but I just love Dr Herman he is wonderful thank you everyone stay safe be well and me the universe keep you all protected!"

"Dr. Herman had no fear pulling out a my tooth that could have had serious consequences. While other DDS would not or could not achieve. He saw no problem I felt no pain and total reassurance of his skills. This dilemma I was in b4 seeing him caused me great stress and worry. Now I can finally go on with the final step of my dental procedure. I greatly recommend him, and thank him from the bottom of my heart."

"Very traumatic experience! I took my 12 year old daughter to Dr. Herman (at the Farmingville office) to have 4 baby teeth extracted. We already had an extraction letter from her orthodontist, but needed to schedule a consultation. We waited an hour and a half to be seen at which point he said, yup we’ll take them out and scheduled another appointment. This man had absolutely no bedside manner or compassion, especially for treating a sensitive 12 year old girl. He administered several novocain injections in all 4 quadrants of her mouth and she screamed. He yelled at her for screaming because “it was a very small room.” At this point she was hysterically crying. Then he left the room for about 30 mins. When he came back, he tested to see if she was numb, she said she could feel a little but didn’t want anymore shots. He insisted she open her mouth for more shots and said “you are not going to tell me what I can and can’t do!” I almost walked out of the office with her - however she had already been through enough trauma and was numb so we stayed. He proceeded to yank 2 teeth out and she was hysterically crying - yet he would not allow her to take a breather - he said “No, we’re going to do this!” and roughly pulled the other teeth out. The whole reason for going to an oral surgeon was because the roots where very long, however I believe he broke the roots which was something her regular dentist was afraid of doing. I hope she doesn’t have even more problems now - we'll have to wait and see when the ortho x-rays her. 6 days later and she’s still in pain. Avoid this dental office and doctor!"

"Dr. Herman is fantastic! I took my son there in 2009 for an extraction and he felt very comfortable with Dr. Herman. I took him back as an adult and my son was clearly nervous. The procedure was tougher than expected and Dr. Herman really cared about my son. I completely trust this Dentist and would let him work on any one of my boys!"

"My daughter just had a tooth exposure surgery and it was the worst. I never been so terrified. My daughter has been traumatized after his procedure. I feel like the doctor was to ruff and had no patience. She is just an 8 years old and i feel like she wasn't treated properly. From the beginning to end was just a nightmare. I can't stop thinking about it. Im not saying anything bad about the place or anyone else that works there. I think this is a nice friendly dentist office but I just didn't appreciate the way this procedure was handle by the doctor. I don't feel this is a right place for children or at least the doctor should be more patient and treat children more delicately. I feel terrible saying this , I don't usually leave comments and I don't like leaving bad comments but this is the truth. I didn't like the way my daughter was treated. Now I'm left with the problem of her being terrified of walking into a dentist appointment again."
