"Year after year ... the venerable Buono Bakery never ever fails ... the undisputed best Italian bakery / pasticeria on Staten Island ... if not all of NYC in my opinion. My sister / twin and I had our favorite Buono birthday cake: vanilla sponge, vanilla pudding, whipped cream , and the biggest strawberries this side of the moon!!! A wonderfully ethereal cake that takes me back to birthdays past. And Frank Di at the helm (hi Frank!!!) ..... a master ... a gem as always. And the cuccidatti and crescent fig cookies .... omg!!! Don't get me started I'll gain weight thinking about it!!! Perfection!!! Kevin"

"Frank made my son the most beautiful, perfect, and delicious baptism cake. I told him my vision and he went above and beyond. He was sweet to work with and really made us the most gorgeous cake. I am so happy with it and highly recommend Buono Bakery for all special occasions!"

"I bought a strawberry shortcake from here and there was mold on the strawberry. Had to drive to PA with the cake and didn’t notice till opened in front of everybody. When I go back they refused a refund even though I have picture proof of the mold on the cake. Was embarrassing to bring a cake to an event with MOLD on it. I go in person to get refund with pictures and they only offered me $5 credit for a cake that was above $25. Horrible service when they could have gotten someone sick."

"It's A okay Bakery . thought I would try again Sorry to say this. Got a few Pastries A blueberry melt away and some bread I know most businesses are off these days with labor and the Virus Fear .But. I was disappointed The melt away was terribly dry The pastries were so so and the bread another disappointment don't want to say old stale goods being sold but well that's the way it seems to me .Hope you guys can Do better"
