SAS Lounge, Newark International Airport Newark, NJ 07114

"Why everything is sh!ttier in the US?! The SAS lounge is in the rundown terminal B of EWR, by far the worst airport the world has seen, bar none. If you want to check it out while flying out of the other two terminals you are out of luck! You have to go through security check point to get here. Even though you are in the same airport! Come on EWR! The food options are decent. The meat ball potato with gravy is expected. And it’s decent, as one would expect in ikea ;) the cold cut bar had (on the day of my visit) corn beef. It was so tasty! Ironically that’s the highlight of my visit. It’s always good to have an open bar as one would expect in any standard airport lounges around the world. The issue I had, maybe this is the reason they make it next to impossible to get here, is the crowd. Omg, it’s sooo crowded. I had to use the bathroom outside the lounge. However, that said, everything is orderly, with everyone behaving extremely civilized. The Lufthansa lounge is under renovation, which might drive more passengers to SAS. Do I recommend it? If you flight out of terminal C, stay there. It’s not worth the hassle to come to terminal B just for this. If you happen to fly out of EWR terminal B on Lufthansa or SAS you will enjoy the food and drinks."

"Nice, peaceful, and relaxing atmosphere. There was a good selection of food and drinks. The food was excellent. You are able to charge your devices."

"It’s a nice newer style lobby with friendly kitchen and attentive staff. Clean and a person on duty always cleaning. They have 2 multi coffee machines types, usually about 2 sides and some chicken and a full salad bar. However they have a nice alcohol bar and nice soft drinks as well and most importantly clean bathrooms. If you been at EWR you don’t want to sit out on the chaos? Then the upgrade may worth it better usually with air miles."

"I came to the lounge around 2100 hrs when they were going to close within 2 hours, and there was literally no food left. The food selection was limited. All I could find was some crackers, pretzels, meatballs and some corn. There were some takeaway sandwiches in the fridge but it said 'EL AL Passengers Only'. They had some variety of fruits, though, and drinks were fine. It's also a bit crowded and may not be ideal place to have some quite pre departure time."

"Considering the overall terminal and options around it’s a relatively fine lounge. The food selection is limited but there are both hot food and salad options. Also a fair selection of wine and other beverages . It’s spacious and clean and is enough. Moreover was flying during Super Bowl night so they had a game playing which was nice."
