Enterprise Rent-A-Car

"I rented a vehicle from here because I was visiting family. The guy that tended to us was nice & answered all my questions. Told me my options of add on’s, explained each one I asked about, but didn’t try to push me into purchasing them. The vehicle was OK. I’ve rented from enterprise multiple times. This location…seems their detailer could put in a bit more effort. When quickly looking at the vehicle it looked ok. But when driving in it for hours, you start seeing it all. The car smelled like cigar/cigarettes every time I turned the AC on high. I’m not a smoker so it made me sick. There was sauce on the side of the Driver’s seat. What looked like soda down the side of drivers side door and other areas that can be easily wiped away or vacuumed. The biggest issue I had was when I parked somewhere, then tried to start the car again to leave, it would not start! It took about 5 minutes to get it started again. It only happened that one time, thankfully. I think there’s an issue with the electrical because I also had issues with my phone and the Bluetooth doing crazy things, the touchscreen not letting me change heat/ac settings or would automatically go to tuner instead of what I selected. As I’ve said, I’ve rented multiple vehicles from this company & this is all a new experience, so these issues are not common. I ended up dropping the vehicle off after closing so I could not discuss it with anyone. They called me the next day to ask how my rental was & I explained what happened with the starting & electrical issues. The guy was very understanding & apologetic. I will definitely go here again. ****EDIT**** Unfortunately, I have to lower my rating. I was willing to overlook everything else that went wrong because I understand stuff happens. But, I do not take kindly to frivolous charges. Especially ones I’m sent over a month later. I have my own personal EZ-PASS. I used that for NYS tolls. Yet I received a bill for tolls and service charges for “using the rental cars ezpass”. I have all the charges on my ezpass. I traveled almost across the whole state on the thruway. I’ve called multiple people including this location to try to fix this issue. No one can or is willing to help. Their only answer is “pay us”. Other renters beware. You will be charged tolls & service fees for a service you did not use!"

"I set the rental up online, they called me the day before to confirm everything. I got there with my group, and after we realized that we were going to need something bigger…the gave us a 2022 Ford Explorer Limited for no extra charge. Then the process to return the vehicle was super smooth as well. The branch manager Jake was absolutely amazing in giving us the best customer service. Definitely recommend using the Utica Enterprise located in New Hartford, NY."

"The rental process was extremely easy and every staff member I encountered was knowledgeable and personable. The next time I need a car rental I will definitely use Enterprise again. As an extra bonus, when I dropped the car off I was so pleased to be offered a ride home in their courtesy van."

"I had an excellent experience at this Enterprise location. The gentleman who helped me, John Jones, was especially kind and helpful. He helped me pick out the right size of car for my needs and walked me through all the insurance options as well. He was able to answer all of my questions and even gave me a couple of hiking tips after I told him I was planning on going hiking and asked him for recommendations. The whole process went smoothly and I greatly appreciated his prompt and friendly help. Would definitely recommend renting a car from here."
