"My daughter's 2019 Forte was brought to the Utica store for maintenance after she spent $2,600 for engine repairs at Destination Kia of Albany. Her car was towed in to the Albany store on 28 May 2024 and scheduled for service. We live 90 minutes away and could get NOBODY from the service department to return voicemails asking for updates. Accepting the maintenance proposals utilizing their portal, the car was repaired and returned to us on 21 June, $2,600 engine repair. On the way home to Utica, it was clear that car was still in distress, transmission would buck and engine RPMs were erratic-- barely made it to the Utica location on 21 June. While in Utica, zero attempts were made to update us on the status of the car. It sat in the back lot for 5 WEEKS with not so much as a phone call or email update. I stopped in weekly for an update, the best Michael could do for me is "we havent forgot about you, Mr Bishop". On 27 July, I asked for the keys. The had been ransacked while on the Utica store's property. (Nothing was taken, and Rob from service did call to apologize once he was made aware). I took the vehicle across the street to Leadcar Chevrolet and they made us a wonderful offer on a new Trax. Overall impression of BOTH Destination Kia locations it that the service departments do not communicate with customers, we were 100% neglected and left in the dark with absolutely no returned voicemails or updates of any kind. This is the first negative review I've ever given online, it kind of hurts. One bright spot @ Utica; James Carbone from sales was the only employee who communicated at all with us and was very helpful to attempt to make a deal, thanks James. If the positive reviews about service are to be believed, it confirms my suspicion that customers are definately NOT served in the order that they show up with broken cars. My family was down a vehicle for more than 2 months due to Destination's neglect, unforgivable."
