"We rented a 12 passenger van for a family vacation and when we picked it up it was not at all what we promised. The car was dirty on the inside, stripped parts, balled tires. When we returned it the next day the women at the Avis in our area was wonderful. They had nothing to replace the awful van so we had to return it and scramble to find something else. We ended up losing a day and a half of our vacation."

"Company is good if there are no problems with the rental. But we received a flat tire and the nightmare began! Sat waiting for the avis repair people to send someone to change the tire. After 3 hrs I called and they said they were still looking for someone to dispatch! I went online and bought AAA for $40.43 and they were there to help me in 10 minutes! This all started at 2 pm, at 6 pm I received a text staying they were STILL looking for someone to DISPATCH! I called them and told them to cancel the help and to see if they could find out if Syracuse had any cars for us to swap with. They car repair line said they couldn't help, I had to call Syraucse. I called them litertally 25 times with NO ANSWER. Finally got someone on Avis 800 line after asking for supervisor and they confirmed no cars left in Syracuse and to swap car out when we arrived in Jacksonville, NC. Told me to call the Avis car fix line and tell them so they can note this. I called them the lady said she never had to do this before but would put in notes. We finally get to Jacksonville Airport to trade car and AMAZING they knew NOTHING ABOUT US COMING!!!! Said they had a car that was just returned after a 25,000 mile trip that has not been cleaned or checked. We had to take it, what else could we do. Besides every time we rent a car from avis it is dirty, needs windshield washer fluid, and needs an oil change, so what was the difference. Will never rent a car from you again. Over $700 for a vehicle and your customer service is the worse I have ever seen. I probably would still be sitting on the side of the road."

"I wouldn't give any stars except the guy at the counter was fairly nice. The manager is the rudest and most actively unhelpful person on earth. She looks for ways to give people a hard time. This location is both budget and Avis. Two times prior I tried renting from budget and had been in line when she started fights with the other people in front of me for either smelling like smoke, having a teacup poodle or that they wouldn't accept a debit card for deposit on a prepaid rental. She refuses to give district and regional manager information because all three times over the past 2 years they have all been in vacation. This time it was that I couldn't leave my car but they wouldn't follow me to park it not would they refund my money for the rental. I called customer service and was disconnected 7 times. I was told by customer service that they'd deliver the car to me and I ended up disconnected 7 times. My daughter went in to tell them what customer service said they said that they would refuse to deliver it. It is not worth the heartache or having to deal with the raging bad attitude from the manager. She should not work with the public at all."
