"BEWARE OF BUDGET!! Booked a van MONTHS prior to my trip. PAID in full for the reservation to be called 2 days prior stating they don’t have any vans available. Funny, I went last month to confirm they would have the van, they claimed yes they would.. Called customer support and the only thing they could offer was 2 cars for more $$. What a scam of a company."

"One of the worst customer service experiences I ever had!! This is actually a zero star, there is no option for that here. An agent from the Budget local office called me the day before my trip and left a voicemail saying there were no cars available at this time and no reasoning was given as to why even though I made the reservation a month in advance. There was no attempt to find a replacement vehicle from a different location, the agent simply said it was a mistake on their end, however, they can't do anything to help me out on this matter and I will have to call the customer service and gave me the 1800 number. I contact the Budget customer service and that was one of the most frustrating experiences I ever had. I was transferred multiple times, placed on hold for more than 10 minutes, one of the agents even hung up on me (never had that happened to me calling customer service). At that point I realized they weren’t going to help me out. I decided to book with another rental company and had to pay twice as much since it was a long weekend and also because it was a last-minute booking. Never booking again with Budget will actively discourage people from doing so."

"I’ve rented from many Budget locations and this was by far the worse. Customer service is poor. They gave me a dirty, smelly car and refused to refund me when I said I wasn’t driving it. The cars are upstairs so they don’t come up with you to check the car. He claimed the car was cleaned by himself and it wasn’t smelly. He finally admitted it was dirty but he “cleaned” it, so must be the cleaner that smells. He finally refunded me after I called Budget customer service. I wasted $40 in Ubers going there and back. He offered zero apologies and had a “I should be grateful there was one car left” attitude. Don’t go here!"
