Free Pick-Up Service:
For added convenience, take advantage of our free pick-up service. Please call your rental location directly at least 24 hours before your desired rental time to make arrangements. Note that off-airport locations cannot pick you up at an airport with an Avis location.

- Renters must meet Avis age, driver, and credit requirements, with possible additional surcharges for those under 25.
- Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) and optional services are available for purchase at the rental counter. Terms and conditions apply, and LDW is taxable.

"It's strange that i see a lot of complaints on customer service but my experience for the past 3 months I've been renting is completely different. Gina and her team are an absolute pleasure to work with. Yes, sometimes the responses could be curt but they always anticipate my needs and questions and always offer alternative solutions if required. They are also very proactive and i have received calls ahead of time to remind me of drop offs especially during the weekend where i was not aware of timing of business closing hours. This definitely saved me money in penalties."
"This place is falling down the drain with the awful management. The website allows me to pick the time of pick up and drop off. When I get there to drop off the manager told me that I was going to get charged for another day because I was supposed to drop it off at a certain time. I confronted them and showed them my reservation email confirmation and even then he said that's not how things work. I ended up getting charged for an extra hour either way. First he tried to charge for an extra day when confronted resorted to charge me for an extra hour. Costumer service sucks big time. Proceed with caution. Car was driving horribly too."
"This branch was very rude and unprofessional. My wife rented a car online received a confirmation email indicating to pick up the car at their 116 westchester ave. Whiteplains, NY branch. When my wife provided her credentials along with the itinerary from Expedia confirmation the manager, a female indicated I can't find it that's what you get when you use a third party, this response was not only very rude but unprofessional when representing an esteemed company such as Budget/Avis. I regretfully DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS BRANCH!"
"Worst customer service. I made a reservation over one month in advance and pre-paid for the car. I spoke to the agent at length to ensure that pick up would be seamless. I was assured that it was all taken care of and there would be no issue. When picking up the car, they would not honor the agreement and offered to book the car and nearly twice as much. Beyond terrible. When did customer service stop helping customers?"
"Let me tell you….. I understand my reviews are my opinions my thoughts my point of views…. Even though I am a former employee of this business, I didn’t walk in expecting or demanding to have the “hometown advantage”. I came in knowing for SURE I was going to receive 100% professional amazing customer service from Gina and her team! After all these years I knew they definitely out performed and continued to deserve not ONLY FOR ME but White Plains and EVERYONE. Because I was trained to provide only great customer service professional service; which is what I received! Now my purchase was for only two days but the transaction was definitely smooth. I did forget the representative’s name but he was definitely professional and did his job. Now for my rental vehicle… I was given a Nissan Sentra (forgot the year but I’m gonna guess and say it was 2021 or 2022?) I received it clean and with a full tank of gas. No issues no lights were on. Everything worked especially the USB for Apple CarPlay. Everything worked out! I thank the lord for that. If you need a rental just look no further beyond Stop and Shop…you’ll see Avis right near The Westchester….because they all know what true customer service is… thank you Gina and the team! I’ll be back Please support the locals!"
