Budget Truck Rental

"When I called the place the lady said they only do truck moving truck rentals but she was also rude and hung up."

"Ordered a truck online at noon on a weekday, no problems. Then I get a call ONE HOUR before I leave to pick up the truck and start moving, telling me that they don't actually have that size truck available anywhere in my city. (??) The website makes you pick the exact location you're picking up from so there's absolutely NO reason that this should've happened. What's the point of allowing customers to reserve in advance if the "available" vehicles on the site have absolutely nothing to do with the vehicles that actually exist?"

"This place should not be contracted with Budget for moving trucks. I reserved a truck online the day before, I get there yesterday and the guy at the front desk says we only have a cargo truck?!! I have a fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment. If you saw the reservation requests one truck and you don’t have it, why not at least call the customer to let them know prior to coming to this “establishment.” Then once I explain this was an online reservation he states “well they don’t know our inventory so it’s not guaranteed we’ll have the truck.” Also, he didn’t even attempt to rectify the mistake, it was just like so are you going to take the cargo van or not type of demeanor. Lastly, while I’m on the phone calling other budget rentals in Buffalo and Amherst, he goes well the end of the month is hard to find moving trucks. Um obviously because people’s leases are ending or starting, the comment was unnecessary…common sense was enough. Just go through PENSKE, easy, available, and they give you more time for the moving truck! Do not waste your time with this poor excuse of a budget rental pub (if you could even call it that). Then he had the nerve to say have a nice move as I was leaving this establishment with no resolution. I’m glad I called PENSKE. I had a 16 foot moving truck in less than 30 minutes of my reservation."

"Apparently, they let you rent trucks whether they have them or not... We reserved a 16-foot truck, ahead of time, from this location and after we drove 45 minutes to get there and pick it up, they told us they don't actually have it and offered us a small van instead. Tell me why I would have reserved a 16-foot truck if I could fit all of my things into a small van... They said anyone can reserve any size truck but it doesn't mean they will actually have one. That is insane. Terrible service. Do not go here. Just spend the extra money and use U-haul because when you reserve trucks from there, they actually make sure they have a truck for you."
