"Terrible customer service. Ordered once and they make you buy $3,700 freezer which is stupid when you can get a much cheaper freezer anywhere else. They basically sell freezers. The food is terrible. I returned the food multiple times. And it was all bad. No Meat on the ribs. The seasoning everyone hated on all the chicken. Taste cheap. It’s impossible to open the packages without the juice going everywhere. So basically I stopped stocking the freezer w gross food and then was left w paying off a freezer for three years. Thanks for nothing."

"I am so happy with my deliveries from Long Island’s Own Home Food Service They are so accommodating. The list of food is huge. So many options. So glad I did the trial box because now I'm a regular customer Specific to Dan...he is my representative and he does a great job communicating check in to see if all is good etc. Joe delivery guy is the sweetest. He makes sure everything goes smoothly Chuck owner has picked up the phone and also communicated and checks in on the service."

"They got a 1 because you can't do 0. They misrepresent the cost, and the quality went from great to ok as soon as they got you. They only deliver on their schedule. In the initial meeting, he ran circles around me till I was convinced it was a great deal. I ended up paying $3000 for a $700 freezer and average of $10/lb for chicken and chop meat."

"Run!! The salesperson was full of lies lies lies. They want your money and then everything the salesperson Dan tells you is a lie! Horrible customer service!!! Don’t waste your money! Delivery person never showed up. Claimed they did, luckily I have video cameras showing they drive right past my home. Never showed when they said they would. I wish I would have been warned! —- yes of course I can’t reply to the below. But again, I have not heard from anyone. I have no intention of continuing the service. Thank you."

"Where to start....an acquaintance of mine had recommended this service to me, told me to speak with a man named Dan and gave me contact information. I reached out to Dan, set up an appointment (nearly 3 years ago at this point), we discussed our families needs / wants, budget, etc. and Dan was able to work up a food plan for us that fit out budget and when compared to what had been being spent at the local wholesale club and intermittent trips to the grocery store, this plan from Dan & LI Own was a few hundred dollars per month less that what we had been spending. Fast forward to the food, if you want it, they have it. Fresh, flash frozen and packaged. Not that they expect to have any significant issues or complaints with the quality of their food, but they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee--if you have any concerns or problems for whatever reason, contact them and they'll make it right, that is their claim. Fast forward to my first delivery and I just wasn't thrilled with a particular item, to be honest, I don't recall the issue at this point, but I recall reaching out to Dan who was my sales rep. and he immediately offered to rectify the issue with an exchange for a different item of my choice, and he followed up with me shortly after the exchange to make sure I was happy and everything was good now. I had to have them split my order into 3 shipments due to limited space in my apartment and the cube freezer only holds so much.....They were quick to accommodate my request. I have renewed my food order with them and have not had any further issues, however Dan constantly checks in to make sure everything is still good and see if we need anything.. This company being represented by Dan sure does shine and define exactly how customer service should be. The quality of their products is far better than supermarket food, and due to it being flash frozen and delivered directly to you, there is no concern as to whether that package of supermarket meat has been out of the refrigerator for a while and then put back after who knows how long, or if it was "spruced up" and put into new packaging despite being past the initial sell by date since it "looked ok". With LI Own, you don't worry about any of these problems. The delivery man, Joe, has also been a rock star, always on point with communication to arrange a seamless delivery for us."
