"I ordered the pork plate and was delighted with every part of it. They do not skimp on flavor or portions! The rice and beans would have been perfect by themselves but paired so well with that juicy pork. Also, you can't go wrong with maduros! I was offered to get a part of the crsipy skin too, which was soo nice as it's one of my favorite parts! I finished this fantastic plate with a heavenly guava and cheese empanada. If I'm ever back in the area, I will be visiting again."
"Fist time here. They have a great variety of different kinds of empanadas, a few I have never even imagine. For someone who likes to try different foods this maybe your place. My husband had the Cuban sandwich and it was really good. I went with traditional 4 cheese empanada was delicious. Lots of parking space."
"I went there today for the 1st time, and it far exceeded my expectations! I've tried empanadas at other places and didn't care for them but at Island Empanada, it was fantastic. They have various fillings for the empanadas, like beef & cheese and chicken/bacon/ranch. The rice & bean side dish was also excellent. The staff seemed very friendly. Also, if the kind of empanada isn't ready, they'll whip it up for you in about 5 minutes."
