About Us

Welcome to Xi'an Famous Foods 西安名吃
Located at 12-15 Jackson Avenue, Queens, New York, Xi'an Famous Foods has grown from humble beginnings to become a legendary NYC dining destination. Our journey started as a bubble tea shop, then transformed into a small cart by the Q58 bus stop, and now, we've become a staple for authentic Xi'an cuisine in the city.
Our family-run restaurant is the brainchild of two passionate individuals: David, the hot-headed flavor mastermind, and Jason, the business-savvy chili enthusiast eager to share our culinary heritage with the world. Together, despite our occasional disagreements, we've crafted a menu that brings the true taste of Xi'an to your table.
At Xi'an Famous Foods, we specialize in our family's versions of Xi’an classics. Dive into our biang-biang noodles, pulled to order for the freshest experience, or savor our dumplings drenched in our signature dipping sauce. On warmer days, or whenever you crave it, our liang pi offers a refreshing, vinegar-y delight.
Our famous chili oil, a secret blend with over 30 ingredients, has been a customer favorite since day one. Its fragrant spice and deep flavor profile will redefine your understanding of chili oil—because not spicy is simply not as good!
For those who want to recreate the magic at home, our cookbook provides not only cherished recipes but also the rich tapestry of our family's immigration story. Explore deep cuts like stewed oxtail and the spicy & tingly lamb face salad in their authentic forms.
Not in NYC? No problem! Our Meal Kits, available for shipping across the contiguous US, make it easy to enjoy our dishes in the comfort of your home, ready in 30 minutes or less.
Come experience the real OG XFF and taste the tradition that's captivated New Yorkers and beyond.

"I love this establishment but forgetting to put seitan on both of my A1 orders makes me lose trust… so disappointed Updated to 5 stars because the owner replied :O The food really is so good. The tofu is my favorite snack. Burger never misses."
"Tried a few dishes here. The spicy lamb noodles in soup has been watery on the more than four occasions I’ve gotten it. The one without soup has been very doughy each and every time. The liang pi noodles have also had a weird msg aftertaste. Had consistently poor experiences at the Main st. location as well, so won’t be going back."
"Always delicious, the quality is very consistent, and the staff are very nice. This location is smaller than the larger location just down the street, but there is still a sitting area and the food is the same. If you haven’t tried the food from Xian, it’s a must!"
"I’ve been to Xi’an Famous Food before in multiple locations in NY. I personally like this one because it’s closer to me and I like the area. The food is always good, flavorful and most importantly, SPICY! Always get extra spicy as “If it’s not spicy, then it’s not good.”. Staff is always friendly and makes the food in a timely manner. It may not be life changing food, but it’s always delicious and convenient when you need some hand ripped noodles. Great to go with friends for some casual and quick food or alone."
"Love this place, the spicy noodles combined with meat options are fantastic. The chrysanthemum tea is great too. They have the option of ordering from a kiosk."
