"Hello! My name is Scott, and recently, me & my partner came into this store. I want to preference this by saying that I've been shopping at this store for about 3–4 years now, and this recent interaction was the first and only negative interaction I have ever had. Personally, I think this store has a wide variety of deck selections and has wonderful crystals at pretty good prices. I got an amazing Golden Healer quartz for like 24 bucks!! A real steal. This interaction was with a lady who i think is "manager" (I am unsure if this is true, but the lady I talked too with the locks is whom I am referring) Me and my partner entered the store on December 7th of this year, I saw the Lady at the counter talking to a customer, who I later found out was getting a gift for her fiancé. I was holding a hunky chunk of moonstone in my hand, and I approached the conversation by saying this "Im sorry, I dont want to impose, but what kind of gift are you getting, and who for? Can I lend you a hand?". In the reply that the owners of store sent to my partner, they claimed "Your partner was asking the other patron all sorts of personal questions, and she was visibly uncomfortable." She was very uncomfortable, haha! I was quickly met with very closed-off energy, which is completely valid!!! A random stranger barging in on your very personal conversation —thats my bad, though I did not ask all sorts of questions. I simply asked "Who are you getting this for?" "Oh your fiance? What does he like?" She had let me know awkwardly that she was in a rush, and i began to back off. That's it, and even though I entered this conversation, with nothing but pure intent, I was retaliated against. The lady at the counter quickly intervened, and said something along the lines of "That was very rude, you should not barge in on private conversations, can you guys please just go and do your own thing? Please." Even though on paper, this looks like a very simple redirection, it was not. It was dismissive, unprofessional, and rude. I can stand on my ground and with pure certainty I that was not being rude, and that as a manager of this establishment, your communication should be one, kinder, and two, better. I am well aware that we are all human, as though personally it did definitely hurt my feelings just a WEEEE bit, I do not take this personally at all! Haha after the lady at the desk said that to me my partner was PISSEDDDDDD bahaha he took that moonstone out of my hand put that shi back down and MADE me leave the store before i could even process what happened lolol. I am not writing this review to further spiral the argument that was created over the 1 poor interaction we've had; I am writing this is share my perspective not through my partners lenses, and too also apologize. It is my fault for intruding on a private conversation, and I am sorry! though, please in the future, I would really appreciate just a weeeee bit of kindness & compassion. I entered the conversation with nothing but love, and a want to help. I hope that i can come back to your store without fear of animosity or judgement, as judgement, and intrusion was not my intent! This really stressed me the FAWK out and I know it did for my partner as well. I have a feeling that the stress has been a little universal within the weird little tringle in which this scuttle transpired. Nothing but love, as up until this point I have had amazing interactions at this store. I hope my message gets across kindly. I hope that we are still friends, as even though we have little to no conversation, I have known the nice ladys that work at this store for a handful of years now. Once again, my deepest apology for the intrusion. See you guys soon! Sincerely Scott"
"I have decided to check out local spiritual businesses in my area. I’m with my partner who is extremely educated and passionate about alternative healing. We had asked another patron what they had been looking around at and the woman at the front counter (Pale woman with dread locks and eyeliner up to her eyebrows) snaps at us saying not to help and that they’re “busy” so to not offer opinion. She proceeded to call my partner rude. My partner is a regular at this store, and even though I’m making it sound less inflamed than hearing it in person the delivery of this was extremely distasteful as a supposed “spiritual shop” where all are expected to be welcomed and respected. The vivid side eye and over all arrogant delivery was appalling. Besides it being rude it was completely unexpected and had us very shocked. I rarely take time to leave reviews but this had me grabbing my phone pretty quick. I will in fact be sharing the horrible “vibes” from Culture Couture with all of the spiritual groups in the area. Friends, family and business associates who thoroughly enjoy spending good money supporting local businesses will not be shopping here. The delivery of her rude words had us put every one of the products we saw right back down and we left. Horrible customer service approach. Life is not a movie, there are no cameras around… ground yourself and remember you’re speaking to other human beings….. who probably would’ve just dropped a solid rack $$ had this not occurred. - Reply - Your response does not come as a surprise after reading these other reviews. Very much “the adults are talking” energy rather than a simple clarification that it was a private conversation and they would rather not be bothered. Your employees lack of communication skills is not my problem nor should I have to tolerate it. My partner was very clearly and innocently excited and just wanted to help, even if you didn’t want it. Encouragement and redirection is the way to a smooth resolution and would have conveyed the same message rather than assuming whatever weird narrative your cashier did. So I stand on my words, it was rude and out of left field. The way you conduct business and allow your employees to speak to customers is embarrassing."
"Mallory was awesome! My boyfriend and I came in to get some gifts for my mom, and she was extremely helpful not only in picking out those gifts and explaining everything, but she even corrected me in one of the crystals that I had on my person that I thought was moss agate and it was actually fuchsite! She gave my boyfriend and I a clear quartz as well as a goodie, it was truly an amazing experience and such a welcoming environment. For someone who has only been on the spiritual scene for 4 years now, she really taught me about some new products and was extremely informative! I highly recommend coming here and hopefully you’ll get as lucky as we did and Mallory will be there to guide you. We can’t wait to come back!"
"I have been to this store many times. A majority of my plants are from there. I went there today with the intention of getting either new incense or a new plant. I was looking around, smelling things, browsing as one does. When I went up to the counter to buy my incense and incense holder, the person behind the register said “are you going to pay for everything in your pockets too?” I was very confused. I didn’t realize I was being accused of shoplifting until I was forced to empty my pockets - which had nothing in them except my phone. After realizing they had mistakenly judged, I was never given any apology. I still bought my items because I support small businesses, but that was extremely unprofessional and very unkind. I will not be shopping here again and would advise others to do the same."
