"Attorney Vergotz is extremely knowledgeable and was able to help resolve a poorly written trust and will that I was a beneficiary of. His knowledge was able to help save assets and real estate. I would’ve given him 5 starts except his customer service as related in another review was subpar. He failed to follow through the case to the end. He stopped returning phone calls, kept having reasons why this was happening, and every time I did get ahold of him he would tell me he would get right back on top things and never did. I finally stopped calling and leaving messages as they weren’t being returned and my case is now in limbo."

Additionally, I hired James Vergotz to handle some estate planning and elder law issues for my parents. Again, he was willing to spend a lot of time answering not only all of my questions, but many questions for my parents. He is very smart and offered creative solutions to our complex situation. What I found most impressive is that he spent the time make sure my parents understood every detail. Estate planning and elder law decisions can often be very uncomfortable for families but I felt that he asked the hard questions in a very kind and compassionate way that eased any tensions that our family may have had. I would give him more than five stars if possible and hire again if needed."

"Horrible!!! While working on settling an estate for me, he was reliable at first but it quickly changed. He began to become less and less reliable and have excuses for things that he didn't complete. He would claim he didn't get documents in the mail and claim he sent documents that I never received. He would apologize for not completing his end of the agreement and even offered to finish without charge, but he still wouldn't return phone calls or complete the work. After dealing with him for years (yes, years), I am finally hiring another attorney. I am more than a little disappointed with his lack of follow through and professionalism."
