"I recently moved to the area and it's been tough finding an outdoor range to shoot at. There's a few clubs out there, though some have waiting lists and others require volunteer time that I simply cannot offer right now. I was thrilled to stumble upon this range. The grass was mowed, plenty of targets, you can safely shoot out to 30+ yards. Yes some of the targets are shot through though some are good. Bring your own target and use the other targets as backstops or something. Get creative. It's an awesome area to get outside and shoot, especially when you live in the city. Thank you to whoever maintains it."

"This range started out as a well intentioned idea but is atrociously managed and clearly not effectively implemented. The targets are totally shot through, and the hanging backstop doesn't stop arrows. My mistake - I assumed the town would actually maintain their investment. I just shot an arrow through a target from 33 yards. Passed completely through the target, backstop, and is now buried deep within one of the large hay bales behind them. So my options are to dismantle the bale and recover my arrow, or eat the $30 that represents and swear this place off until someone new comes in who knows how to manage this. Seasonality isn't a valid excuse - we're having an incredibly mild winter, so it's not like resources have needed to be reallocated elsewhere in the park due to severe winter maintenance. If you can't manage this, then remove the targets and put up "Closed" signage."

"Nice place to shoot. Does not forbid crossbows. If you're using a non-standard setup (such as one that shoots 7.5" arrows) I'd highly recommend bringing your own target as the provided targets are fairly soft and you could possibly lose your arrows inside them."
