About the Business

Address: 545 N Canfield Niles Rd, Austintown, OH 44515, United States

At Ventling Memorials, we specialize in crafting enduring monuments that stand as timeless tributes to your loved ones. Our commitment to excellence begins with our unwavering dedication to selecting only the finest granite, a critical factor in determining the longevity of a monument. We understand that the memory of your cherished ones deserves nothing but the best, and that's precisely what we aim to provide.

Ordering is a straightforward and simple process. Our dedicated staff will assist you in selecting the right options, ensuring that everything needed for the order is ready. You'll also receive a final price for your memorial upfront, with no hidden costs.

We invite you to come and sit down with one of our experienced sales representatives to explore the various memorial options available. We will then create a computer-generated proof of what the monument will look like, allowing you to visualize the final product.

Before we begin engraving your monument, you'll have the opportunity to thoroughly review and approve the design. We'll work closely with you to ensure that every element is exactly as you envisioned it. Once we have received approval from both the family and the cemetery, we will commence the engraving process. After production is completed, we will schedule the delivery of the monument to the cemetery.

In addition to creating new monuments, we also offer cleaning services to preserve the integrity and beauty of historical landmarks and memorials. Cleaning a monument is a delicate process, and we handle each project with the utmost care.

Foundations are another crucial part of our service, ensuring the stability, longevity, and preservation of monuments. We provide a solid base upon which these monuments can stand, safeguarding their endurance over time.

Engraving a monument involves the intricate process of inscribing text, images, or designs onto the surface of the monument. Our skilled craftsmen are adept at creating precise and meaningful engravings that honor the memory of your loved ones.

At Ventling Memorials, we are dedicated to providing compassionate and professional service, guiding you through every step of the process to ensure that your memorial stands as a lasting tribute for generations to come.

"Our daughter passed away the end of April. We ordered an urn and had taken it to ventling to have it engraved on May 8th. We spoke with Ethan and he assured us he could have it done in 7 to 8 days. Two weeks later, we called to check on the progress and he informed us that the urn we had brought in had been damaged during the engraving. He said I had been ordered but had not arrived and he would keep us updated. I asked whether or not he thought the urn could actually have the engraving done without damage. He assured me it could. When I ordered the urn, it took exactly one week to arrive. Every week usually on Wednesdays, I would call for an update and speak to Ethan. He assured me every week that the urn was ordered and should be here any day. Two weeks ago, I called him, questioning him on what the delay was when it only took one week for the urn to come in when I ordered it. He put me on hold and to Check the tracking and said that it was supposed to be delivered the next day or Friday. he assured me he could have it done most likely by Monday, June17th. Now mind you six weeks have gone by at this point and all we wanted to do was bring our daughter home. So the following Wednesday, which is now seven weeks. I called to see if the urn had arrived, and it had not. I became very upset. I told Ethan that the urn I had ordered was one that we had seen in their catalog and I didn’t understand why it could come in in one week when I ordered and six weeks after he orders it’s not here . Then proceeds to tell me well if you want the one in our catalog, I can have it for you tomorrow. Why did he tell me that from day one. I told him to order the urn and when it arrives for him not to touch it that we were canceling the engraving and we wanted the refund on the cost of the engraving . He said fine. He never once showed any remorse or compassion in the fact that we were waiting to bring our daughter home and he was the reason we were unable to. I talked to the secretary multiple times during this process and she told me that no orders had gone out that she could see for replacing our urn. So exactly how did Ethan even check the tracking status when there was no proof of any order being placed. Finally on June 27, the urn That Ethan ordered from the catalog arrived and we were able to pick it up and take it to the funeral home and bring our daughter home. This whole process took 7 weeks! That was totally unacceptable!! Ethan Ventling made a very emotional situation 10 times worse by not being honest with us and pretty much just jacking us around and telling us what he thought we wanted to hear. Also, when we picked up the urn, the secretary told us it would take 5 to 7 days for the owners to issue a check and then if we hadn’t heard anything in 10 days to give her a call and she would make sure that a check was made out for us. Well, when we went to the funeral home to pick up my daughters ashes, it turns out Ethan had already gone most likely the day before and dropped off the check for Lane funeral home to give to us so that he did not have to face us. He took the cowards way out. It’s such a shame that he does not have any compassion with the business that he is in. The emotional stress he put our family through was horrible and definitely took a toll on us."

"Communication was sparse and inaccurate. Customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. The headstone was fine. I would not recommend this company to anyone for any reason."
