"Absolutely insane what I’ve had to deal with since my 3 appointments here last September. During my first appointment, I specifically told the receptionist that I had tricare and put it on my new patient docs. I typically need an authorization for my insurance to attend special appointments and was referred from a PCM, so being that no one asked any questions I assumed that was taken care of. At the end of appointment 3, the receptionist tells me I never had the authorization from my insurance to attend the appointments, and to call my PCM who did the referral to see if they could backdate the docs sent to my insurance. This is already 4 weeks after my initial appointment with my PCM, and my insurance only accepts the backdated information 20 days out. I’ve spent hours and hours making phone calls to lifeline, my PCM, my insurance trying to get this issue resolved and begging them all to assist so I didn’t have to pay for appointments I never agreed to attend without insurance paying. Tricare will not pay for the appointments now, and lifeline will not work with me at all on something that was their mistake to begin with. I should have never been seen for that first appointment and someone should have caught this issue to begin with. Now I am stuck paying almost $1,000… I am a veteran and have this insurance for a reason. Lifeline claims to support veterans on their Facebook page, but refuses to help me at all with this situation and stated it was “out of their hands”"
