JAMES P. JAMISON, M.D.

James P. Jamison, M.D., is a highly respected orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee joint replacement and reconstruction surgery. Since 1997, Dr. Jamison has been a dedicated member of Youngstown Orthopaedic Associates, providing exceptional care to his patients in the Warren, OH area.

Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Jamison completed his undergraduate education at the Honors College of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then pursued his medical education at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, graduating in 1990.

Following medical school, Dr. Jamison completed a rigorous residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh in 1996. During his residency, he spent a year conducting research in the Musculoskeletal Research Laboratory. He further honed his expertise by serving as an Otto E. Aufranc Fellow in Adult Reconstruction at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, where he trained with some of the nation's leading experts in joint replacement and revision surgery.

Dr. Jamison is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons, the Mid-America Orthopaedic Society, the Ohio Orthopaedic Society, and the Ohio State Medical Association.

He is on full-time staff at the Surgical Hospital at Southwoods and St. Elizabeth – Mercy Medical Center in Boardman. He also holds courtesy privileges at St. Elizabeth – Mercy Medical Center in Youngstown and the Orthopaedic Surgery Center in Boardman.
