He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., completed his residency in ophthalmology at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and pursued subspecialty fellowship training in vitreoretinal disorders at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles, California.
