"Two employees that stood out during my latest visit, were Moriah and Todd; both were very knowledgable, professional, friendly, and helpful. Moriah was super patient with me as my doctor's office hadn't faxed over the script for my appointment. She was able to give me guidance, while staying within the office protocols, so I could have my script delivered and proceed with the appointment. Todd was the tech that took my labs during this appointment as well as my labs about six months ago; he's so fun, upbeat, and positive! Todd does his profession very well, no discomfort, and found my vein easily. He also sent me off with instructions for care and how to deliver a requested sample the following day. Actually all the technicians have been wonderful here! Nice waiting room, large, and clean. Highly recommend this lab!"

"Your lab staff definitely needs improvements. I left the Irondequoit lab because the staff ignored you, couldn’t be bothered to take care of you and were rude. I’ve now tried this Fairport lab and have found it to be just as bad. The front desk staff was surly and unfriendly. They acted like you were bothering them with your need to check in. No one said ‘hello’ or made eye contact. She just leaned off the back of her chair and said, ‘go check in on that’. No saying ‘please’ or any other pleasantries. Then they called someone who had come in after I did. The phlebotomist also didn’t even say ‘hello’ or introduce herself. She never explained what she was going to do, just did it. When I attempted to make some chit chat to make me more comfortable while she stuck a needle in my arm, there was no response. She didn’t even tell me how long to leave the bandage on. No ‘goodbye’ either. These are common courtesies which is the very least I should be able to expect as a customer. What is truly sad, is, there are many, many similar accounts in reviews of these labs, yet URMC does nothing to improve how patients are being treated. I am a Nurse and am appalled by the rude treatment employees are consistently exposing their patients to."

"Todd, Kendra, and Daniel were amazing with my daughter and me when we both came in for blood draws. My daughter was very upset and nervous with having to get her blood drawn yet they were very patient and supportive of her. My blood draw was complicated to no fault of their own but they treated me with great care. We appreciated their compassion!"

"This was my first time at this location having bad experience in other local U of R Labs. This is by far the best U of R Labs in the area. Check in was fast and efficient. Todd called me back to do the draw, saw my nervousness, and was beyond kind. Talked me through it, and he was done before I even realized it. I cannot say enough about how far his kindness really went. Hoping to be blessed enough to get him next time I need a blood draw."
