"Dr. Cooney seems to be losing her memory and probably needs to retire. She forgot my partners hair color when he's been a patient of hers for around 20 years, and she keeps forgetting my name even though he and I have been together since 2011. She also forgets to send prescriptions and referrals and has to be bothered repeatedly about them. Some of her front desk staff are very rude, too. One rather bluntly and rudely said she would refuse to schedule my partner any more appointments for his LIFE THREATENING AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE TREATMENT over $12 in copay, as if they hadn't already charged his insurance thousands. Like, have some perspective, lady. Update: We paid Dr. Cooney's office $20 on January 19th. We have the bank statement. He's had two appointments since then and today, he was told he owes $18 and was threatened again. Medicaid's copay is only $3, so it's impossible that he owes more than $6. Next time I go there with him, I intend to get this woman's name."

"Front staff is not friendly and often doesn't know what to do or forgets to send results etc... We have also had a lot of problems with billing. Late billing and thus insurance isn't billed on time and the cost is put onto us. Won't go back because of the disorganized nature of the practice."

"Dr. Cooney seems to be a fine doctor if you know what your problem is and which pill you want her to give you. Otherwise I found the few minutes she has spent with me in the several appointments to be unhelpful. The one star I gave is for her friendly staff, without which I couldn't justify even one."

"I've been seeing Dr. Cooney since I was 16 and have never had a time when she didn't listen to what I was saying. She listens to my concerns with medications, she doesn't just jump straight to pain killers, she remembers details from previous visits when it will be long periods of time between visits. Dr. Cooney listened when I told her I needed help to sleep due to extreme back pain when I was 21 and not only got me a recommendation to the spine specialist but also helped me with finding me something with very limited side effects to help me sleep. She also helped to explain all potential side effects there could be. When I developed my ocular migraines she helped find a medication I was comfortable with and listened when I told her how severe the pain was when the eye doctors were telling me everything was fine and the pain was nothing. The staff is always friendly and are always wonderful. Anytime anyone asks me if I recommend a doctor I will always recommend Dr. Cooney."
