Cyrano's Theatre Company is an award-winning institution located at 3800 DeBarr Road in Anchorage, Alaska. Since its establishment in 1992, Cyrano's has been dedicated to upholding high standards in theatrical productions. The theatre company operates in a 90-seat black box theatre, where they showcase an eclectic menu of plays year-round. In addition to their theatrical performances, Cyrano's also features visual art in their Cyrano's Gallery and hosts special events in their ArtSpace. As stewards of their new multi-use facility, Cyrano's makes all three spaces available for rentals to various groups and organizations in the community. "I will NEVER see another performance here again. I went to see Clue the Musical, loved the performance but the theater was really warm and I needed to get up to go to the restroom. I went to return to my seat and one of the employees or volunteers yanked my arm and made me sit down by the door. I wasn't trying to be rude or disrespectful to the performance I just was trying to return to my seat. At NO POINT EVER should someone touch a guest in that way ever. That interaction was so incredibly negative it ruined the rest of the performance for me and sat in tears just waiting to return to my family. The host at least had the decency to apologize for that experience but by then it was too late. I highly recommend briefing the audience before the start of the performance about where to sit if you have to get up to go to the bathroom."
"Updated 2024.02.25. We came for the musical Clue and it was quite an entertaining funny musical. I laughed alot and enjoyed this performance. Highly recommended, performances are usually sold out, book in advance."
"2nd grade field trip to watch Fancy Nancy. The characters were great, and the songs were fun! The kids liked it when they were asked questions and got to interact with the cast. Thank you Cyrano's Theater Company for putting on such a fun show!!"
"I took my 5 year old to "Fancy Nancy." So fun!!! It's a small, laid back theatre with a great interactive atmosphere. Great show, talented cast, and affordable. I was worried about bringing my son as it was his first time attending a play, but it was perfect and he was thoroughly entertained."
"Saw Tartuffe here and it was probably the best experience I have ever had. The place was clean, the actors were friendly and hilarious during the performance. The check-in process to the play was fast and easy, overall, will come here again."
