"I have rented twice now from Schwantes. First time about five years ago, and then now as I needed to move after a relationship ended. This company is honest and good. They remember former renters and ask about them. Two of my family members had rented from Schwantes over the years and when I needed an apartment the first time, this is where both of them suggested I check out. All these years later and it was the first place I called when I knew I’d be needing an apartment again. The prices are fair and you get more than what you pay for in rent. You get a company who listens and is local. This isn’t a huge company trying to find any way to squeeze that last dime from renters. They fix things when something breaks or you have a concern. They clear the walkways and stairs (as fast as they can with this insane snow we’ve had.) The first time I rented with this company a bees nest developed over the summer under the ramp at my apartment. I called and left a message after putting my kid to bed that Friday night (after they had gotten stung.) Saturday morning we had a knock and one of the handymen was there taking care of it. He said no way were more kids getting stung on his watch and let us know he’d knock when he was done, and checked on my child. That’s what you get with Schwantes. A company that cares about their renters, including the kids."
