"I had a very comfortable, enjoyable experience. Granted i was in a lot of pain but they took care of me so well and focused on me as a person not a symptom. All staff was extremely dedicated, kind, and gentle. They made the surgery flawless and honestly as comfortable as could be and i really appreciated every effort made. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone. Beautiful staff and facilities. Amazing experience. I trust them with my life."

"Wish I could give negative stars. My dad was admitted in Sept 2023 to the ER for chest pains. He was there for 5 hours. They ran up every lab test and CT scan possible. It was a $19k bill in the end. No medical insurance either. And they knew that. I contacted Goodbill to help dispute the grossly high bill. After ignoring our emails for so long they finally got back to us and rejected any negotiation. EVEN THOUGH A THIRD PARTY FOUND THEY TOOK UNNECESSARY CT Scans (3 total) AND THEY FOUND CODING ERRORS. I work in healthcare. Any this is highly unethical to charge up every code possible and even after it was proven by a 3rd party. I am not going to stop disputing this because you guys are slimey and think you can get away with it."

"I’ve relied on the excellent group of caregivers at Providence for years to take great care of me and my family. From imaging, emergency room visits, surgeries and extended stays in their state of the art NICU, there is never a time I haven’t been unbelievably grateful to have such an incredible health care center to depend on. They’ve mastered medicine but also compassion, which is sometimes not the case in healthcare facilities. I’ve never had to wait long for any service and my questions are always answered thoroughly and with smiles. Today I needed a scan and was fortunate to have Dylan taking care of me but most every staff member there has made me feel completely comfortable. On a side note, I’ve spent a lot of time in their cafeteria and gift shop, both unexpectedly impressive. The gift shop has a cadre or dedicated volunteers who work there along side the regular employees, which is always wonderful to see. In fact, there are many volunteer opportunities that Providence has created to allow the community to help those who might be in need. They also have a Subway, pharmacy and a couple of coffee shops in the building. When you are there for extended periods, having these services really makes a difference. They maintain a beautiful chapel open to the public and plenty of quiet places for visitors who need a moment to sit and reflect to find on each floor. Providence is proud of their employees, the services they offer and their presence in Alaska, and well they should be."
