"I’ve had great experiences at Pearl Street Nails! I always ask for Peter to do my nails because he does an excellent job. My last dip manicure was on for 5 weeks and there was zero chipping or lifting! I highly recommend Peter if you’re going in for a dip manicure, he’s great!"
"after waiting 20 minutes into our appointment time for walk-ins to be tended to first, my friend and i were separated so we couldn’t even chat. my nail technician seemed impatient with/annoyed by me, flinging my hand away to indicate it was time to switch, grabbing my other hand and pulling it toward her as if i was moving too slowly. my nails were already short and she kept filing them at every turn. the technician who had done my friend’s nails saw how dismayed i was as we stood outside looking at the sloppy manicure, and invited me back in so they could be cleaned up a bit. they did end up looking better (the only reason there are two stars instead of one), but the next day when i was swimming, my water-wrinkled fingers revealed several little cuts on my fingertips as if she was snipping my skin at random. the whole experience kinda hurt my feelings, tbh."
"Got got a dip manicure here for my wedding day. It was far beyond the price point of anywhere else I’ve been but I am always willing to pay the price for good work. I was very happy initially. You can see my nails were gorgeous. That is until I went to get my nails taken off to find out they had been ruined. To be clear, I had them professionally removed. As you can see, when my nails were put on, they were filed down entirely too far and ruined my natural nail bed. My local nail salon had to do some significant work and protein treatments and I’ll be spending weeks doing my own trying not to lose my entire nail. Despite doing work that looks good, you should have employees that know what they’re doing when it comes to the safety and integrity of the nail. Especially with an $100 manicure."
