"If you purchase insurance here and then later you have a claim, for what you spend your hard earned money for. DO NOT expect this company to go to bat for you... They did not for me...I have been on my OWN! I bought a policy from Bowman thru Farmers Union insurance, that was suppose to cover my home, had a water leak in a bathroom that caused tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage because it was not obvious. I still to this day do not know were it came from. Possibly from under the shower? It did not ever show water on top of the floor. The first I noticed it was discolored drywall above the floor trim.. Filed a claim the same day as I was aware of the leak. They denied it. Stating, that "exclusions apply for deteriorations, mold, wet or dry rot, and continuous or repeated seepage or leakage of water or steam." When I bought the policy, I asked Bowman if there was anything in the policy that would come back on me or not cover my home in the future. He assured me it was a good policy and it would protect my home and my family... Why did I buy insurance? To protect myself and my family from unexpected and unforeseen loses. You need to understand I pay over $1800 per year for the policy. I was under the illusion that your suppose to get what you pay for. In this case I feel robbed! I believe the policy that covers most peoples homes in Montana cost considerably less than that. My recommendation is proceed with great caution or better yet consider going somewhere else..."
