Cougar Ranch Bed & Breakfast

"The cougar Ranch bed and breakfast is close to Missoula yet very peaceful and secluded. The majestic two-story windows look out over beautiful Meadows which are a wildlife watchers heaven. The ranch is on a major flyway and hawks and eagles are often seen. Wet meadows attract ducks and geese, and there are Redwing blackbirds and mountain bluebirds. It’s a wonderful place!"

"Great views ( especially if you get the king suite). Loved the hot tub in the winter. The host is very nice. The break fast breads were delicious ( we probably gained 5 lbs:):) , though you may want to touch base before you book to ensure if breakfast is part of the booking. Place is very quiet ( train didn't bother me one bit). I would definitely go back. Keep in mind the wireless does not really work, so you can disconnect:) thank you for hosting us, Helene!"

"Stayed here as part of a family gathering. We rented via homeaway. The space was great and lack of tv was nice to support stronger social interaction. Kitchen was great along with both living rooms and and bar areas. Pool table was fun as was hot tub. Location is really nice, out of the way but close to the lakes and city resources. A great place for a get away. Home was very clean and comfortable. A couple notes: there are spiders on occasion. Nothing dangerous. We did see some mouse droppings on the last day there. It is in the country, so understabable. Lack of on-site laundry was a little frustrating. Would use again. This was a great place for our needs and really enjoyed it."

"Helene's place is really special. She accommodated our late check in and even had the hot tub ready. The view of the stars from the ranch is amazing and you're surrounded by so much natural beauty. Coming from a multistate road trip, we slept through breakfast and she was kind enough to prepare us a delicious omelet when we got up late in the morning. We were lucky enough to chat with her about our travels and she is an awesome lady with great insight on life. I highly recommend anyone looking for a cool experience and comfortable lodging to spend their Montana night/s at the Cougar Ranch."

"Unprofessional, dirty, well below par for any kind of lodging standards. Management is actually anti-family (when we arrived with our little kids, they recommended we find a different place to stay). No tea towels or dish cloths in the kitchen, just 2 nasty sponges. The thermostats were locked up so any time we wanted to change the temperature (some rooms very hot, some very cold) we had to call management. Just finding this place is very difficult because there isn't a sign on the highway for it. Don't waste your money on this place."
