Community Physician Group - Primary Care

"Dr Johnson & Dr Palessi are wonderful, I really like them both, they are straight forward and explain things clearly in my opinion. I switched my primary care to Dr Johnson earlier this year. The 2 stars are because communication with Community is the worst I've ever dealt with and that is here and in Missoula. The phone is almost never answered, you have to leave a message and calls back have never been before 5 and usually not until the next day. The woman on the left at the front desk is rude, abrasive and not helpful whatsoever. She always acts put out when you ask her a question. Billing.. I have 1 bill that hasn't been even submitted to my insurance, I can't reach anyone in billing, no one calls back and the front desk won't help. Now I get automated calls from billing to contact them but no one answers - just a message to leave your number. It's the strangest thing. Every bill after has been submitted to insurance and no issue, just the very first bill and seems impossible to correct. Again, the Dr's I've worked with are great but the rest of the experience's I've had as a whole are very detached not very interested in the patients or relationships really created. Not what I've been used to in the past. I've been considering going back to Providence for that warm, genuine care & kindness they show but I like Dr Johnson so we will see."

"Waited enough time to post this... after some insanity I have never experienced with a doctor's office. I will say the 1 star is not for Dr. Gilbert. He was fantastic and sure tried his hardest on my adhd husband that I have to drag to the doctor by his ear to get ever get any medical needs met. The problem with this office, is the somewhere between the front desk and the back. Possibly just the receptionist on the right when you walk in the door. We played phone tag for a while between doctor's office and pharmacy to figure out prescription refills. I usually go to appointments to make sure things get done but I guess he never got on a contract like he needed to and it made it impossible to get refills. Anyone that knows someone with mental health issues.. days off meds isn't helpful. But I had thought he got it straightened out. He had a appointment scheduled to get a contract and was told a refill copy would be ready after noon. I went in to pick it up for him since he was not in the best state. We expected it to be ready since we were told it would be. But the receptionist acted like it was the rude to ask follow up questions when she said it wasn't ready. I asked so I could make sure I knew what the plan was since we had been playing this back and forth for what seemed like days. I was on my best behavior, although I do get botox for migraines so my face does whatever it wants. I believe she ended up calling him later about the prescription. Stating his wife came in and yelled at the staff and that they wouldn't accept treatment. Who ever called him kept telling him to calm down.. repeatedly until he yelled that he was calm. Because a sane person can only be accused of being angry for so long. It was at that point she said he had to have an appointment. Not sure why they told him it would be ready multiple times, or that it was getting sent to the pharmacy multiple times if he needed to have an appointment. He couldn't get in until the following week which would have been way too long to be off meds. So at that point I moved him to a new doctor's office. Again Dr. Gilbert is great. He sure tried. But he needs to cut out the cancer in his staff before we would ever refer people."

"The nurses that work here are horrible! I recently brought my one year old here due to an emergency. She had broken her leg going down a slide. The nurse wanted to weigh my crying baby and I asked if we could wait because her leg is hurt. She said sure, grab my baby, took her pants off and stood her up on her broken leg to weigh her. I grabbed her back right away and that nurse looked at me and said we can’t treat her if you refuse to weigh her....because the weight is obviously so important to treat a broken leg. Then during the x-ray the nurse kept grabbing her broken leg and pulling it and naturally my baby was screaming and pulling her leg back and the nurse was frustrated and kept saying little stinker stay still! Not to mention they seemed very incompetent and had to keep retaking x-rays because they would be too high or too low. It was a horrible experience and I will never step foot in this place again. It’s a shame too because the actual doctor was great."

"I have nothing but good reviews and praise for this office. The staff are terrific and their patients are their first priority. I’ve never had a dr physically call me and check on me ever until this office. Everyone greets you with a smile and a friendly welcome. The bedside manners are amazing and all the staff is caring and understanding. I love how our doctor takes time to talk to me kids and gets to know them. I also love how it’s easycto get an appointment and they don’t just dismiss you based on what you tell them over a phone call. They work with many insurances and are upfront with you about all things."

"I have had only great experiences with this clinic. The staff are friendly and courteous. I have seen Dr. Frandsen and he has provided me excellent care. When my wife and I were going to have our son, we chose Dr. Frandsen to care for him as well. We were pleasantly surprised when, at 6:30 in the morning, before his full day of impending patients, Dr. Frandsen came to the hospital to see our newborn son and came each day after until we were discharged. All in all, the entire clinic seems to go above and beyond our expectations, and we wouldn’t want to go anywhere else."
