"Just celebrated my husband’s 40th birthday in the private dining room of the Firebrand. We had a party of about 30 and everyone fit comfortably. The food was very good, but the staff were incredible!! Special shout out to Tracie for going above and beyond, and to Elaine for the excellent Manhattan cocktail, but every staff member who helped us was so accommodating and professional. The live music downstairs was the cherry on top. I would highly recommend this location for a special event!"

"During our first night the bed was so cold we were miserable and were shivering all night despite wearing long underwear under our pajamas, down vests and wool ski hats to bed. (Apparently in order to save energy the heat had been turned down when the room had been previously vacant, and no one had stayed in room 101 in the preceding weeks). I'm glad I brought my own pillow, as their lumpy high profile foam pillows would have given me a stiff neck. It took me until the third day to try to figure out how to get the small bedside lamps to turn on and off without inadvertently turning on the overhead flood lights. The room was tiny and could only accommodate one chair, albeit one with a broken roller base (they brought in a replacement). We chose this hotel because of the rooftop hot tub, but only after I made an abortive trip to the fourth floor in my bathing suit did I discover a construction site instead. The hot tub apparently had been closed for repairs for a long time. I believe that should have been disclosed in their advertising or at least when we checked in. When I asked about using the hot tub at the Lodge (a sister property with the same ownership), I was told, “No, due to liability concerns". The phone in the room was dead, but that was thankfully repaired. The staff did supply us with an extra blanket for the second and third nights of our stay. At our request they did bring a coffee pot to our room. Despite this myriad of problems, the hotel did not comp us anything off our $209 + taxes/night. I would have given the property only a one star review, except the staff did their best to try to accommodate our concerns."

"This pretty hotel has gone down hill. Great location and beautiful decor but the staffing and amenities have dwindled over the years. For example, if you need a razor or something you forgot, they do not have it at the front desk. The room doesn't provide you so much as a hair cap. They do not serve lunch and the cleaning staff does not wipe down a surface in your room when cleaning no matter how many days you stay. The rooftop hot tub is broken. Maybe there is a financial problem happening so the hotel has pulled back on the details but 4 hangers? No water in the tank in the gym? What is going on? The front desk is very nice and apologetic. I know it's not their fault."

"Great location, clean hotel, comfortable bed. However, the construction of this hotel is obviously cheap. You can hear everything through the walls and floors above you. Don't plan on good rest/relaxation or accomplishing any work in your room. Would be a great hotel if it was simply well constructed and quiet. Unfortunately, for these reasons, I can't recommend this hotel and did not enjoy my stay. Also, the hot tub hasn't worked for a while... seems like an easy fix."

"This is a beautifully built hotel with a great location in downtown Whitefish. The employees are fantastic and were very professional. The rooms are quite nice with very comfortable beds, high ceilings, good climate control, well furnished, and nicely finished bathrooms. We were surprised though that they weren't a bit better insulated for sound. None of our neighbors were unusually loud or rude, but we could still hear more of them than expected at this price point. The bathroom, while quite nice, was also less private than desired at certain times. It featured a pair of frosted French doors that had a rather large gap between them. For the most part, we didn't care, but certain activities call for better discretion, even amongst a married couple."
