Capital View Accounting

"This is really a bummer, I hate giving negative reviews but I feel like I need to inform others on my experience. After spending quite a bit of time trying to find a solid CPA, I thought this was the place. Brian seemed great and his team seemed like they had it all together. Unfortunately, this was not the case and my experience was incredibly frustrating. Once we signed the "agreement to have Capital View Accounting file our taxes," everything went dark. All communications went quiet and we were asked to extend our taxes. Extending really wasn't a big deal, plus it just gave us a bit more time to prepare, the part that made this impossible to manage was that no one replied to emails, calls, texts, or anything. This lack of communication continued all the way to the end and everything was extremely rushed by the time we filed. Everything we had discussed in our opening call was forgotten and we had to expedite the whole filing process. We got everything in, and to my surprise, I received a letter from the Department of Revenue claiming that we misfiled a document and that I owe an extra $2200 in taxes, plus interest and late payments. I have been emailing Brian and calling the team but being sent to voicemail (which I have left plenty). The communication with this firm is nothing but a joke.. you'll never get a reply. Unfortunately, I am probably going to have to figure out the "misfiling" on my own (even though I paid a pretty penny to Capital View to file for me). I'm happy to update this review if someone ever calls me back... otherwise, we can just leave this here and hopefully it will help inform other potential clients on what to expect with Capital View Accounting."
