"Dishonest, rude and poor quality. We hired Tracy to carpet around a trap door and to re-install the carpet that we had to tear up after a flooded basement. We have unique carpet that is impossible to replace and were hoping he'd do a good job. When he cut the hold out of the existing carpet for the trap door hole it badly cut it and one side of the hole was nearly 1 inch too short. To fix this I had to put a large piece of metal trim over the piece to hide its short nature and even after that he couldn't properly tuck the carpet edge under the baseboard to make it look professional. For the other part of the room that needed the carpet reinstalled, first he refused to buy carpet pad for the job and made me go find, buy, and bring home the replaced pad. This should have been my first bad indication. When he installed the carped it didn't use the proper tools. He didn't bring a carpet stretcher even though it was a 12ft x 6ft patch that really needed stretching. Instead he just tried to do it with a knee kicker which didn't have enough force to get the carpet into place. Instead there was a gap between the raw carpet edge and the baseboard as seen in the picture. I didn't notice this gap until after we'd paid him and we were cleaning up the mess that he'd left in our room. When I sent him a picture of the gap he called me and told me that there was no way he was coming out to fix it and that I needed to just push the carpet under the baseboard. I explained that the carpet needed to be stretched for it to reach under the baseboard, but he refused to listen to me, insisted that the carpet changed dimensions when it got wet (even though a carpet stretcher is made for dealing with that) and instead just hung up the phone even though I was being very patient and was just trying to explain the situation. Now I have to go get someone else to stretch the carpet as it should have been stretched in the first place. This is your typical dishonest contractor. Once he had the money there was no way he was ever coming back again even though he provided absolutely poor quality. There's no way I'd recommend him for any job, big or small."

"I had carpet on a Stairway and Landing that look like there is no option but to replace it, but the remaining carpet in the rooms nearby still looks good so as the last desperate hope so that I wouldn't have to replace the whole level's carpet, I called Wilson carpet repair. Tracy came out and looked at the carpet and was quite confident he could clean it and restretch it so that it would lay flat. I was a little skeptical but he seemed very confident and it would be much less than replacing carpet so I gave it a try. The outcome was exceptional. I had it done several weeks ago and I waited to do a review just to see how well it stood up. I am extremely pleased with the work that they did and if I ever need carpet cleaning again or repair, this is the company I would call. "We hired Tracy to come out and install a few transition strips where our carpet would be joining hardwood. We discussed work that needed to be done and he quoted us the cost; however, while he was here (halfway through with the job) he stated a new quote that was never agreed upon and followed up with “but don’t worry, if you have any issues call me and I will be right back out” We were frustrated with the last minute change in price, but tried to be polite and just agreed to the new amount since he was already halfway through. The very next day we noticed a lip of the carpet was lifted. Upon closer inspection, we noticed that nearly 80% of the carpet was not secured properly under the strip and you could simply lift up the carpet! The carpet had been cut too short to even grab underneath the metal strip that was supposed to be securing it down. The frustrating part of this was while Tracy began his work, he stated he never used a measuring tape because he is really good at eyeing his measurements. This was a joke because now all of our carpet in two large areas is cut too short. I think the most frustrating part of this all is that when we called him to come back he said he would just come glue the carpet down and we said we needed the job done correctly and voiced our frustrations and he basically told us he wouldn’t come back to our home because we were unhappy with his work and told us we would need to find a new contractor. We asked for half of our money back for a half done job and he refused. Biggest waste of money as we now need to hire another carpet contractor to come do the job correctly. I have hired so many contractors and this is by far the worst and most unprofessional experience I have ever had."
