"Outstanding - this hotel is proof that classic style never goes out of style. Check-in staff were wonderful and welcoming. The room itself was gorgeous, large and upscale. The view of Salt Lake City was unbeatable. Room service was a little disappointing because we didn’t receive what we ordered and when we called to let them know what was missing the items were never refunded. I would stay here again but would probably not order room service since after it was all said and done food was just so so and we over paid in the end for food not received."
"What a fun hotel. The building isn't actually very old, so you have all the modern amenities, but it's designed to be like the finer hotels of old. Fancy finishes and decor, fun paintings and furniture throughout The rooms are very nice with little suites for privacy I've enjoyed my stays here"
"We didn't stay in the rooms. Our family finally tried Sunday brunch at Laurel Brasserie. It has been on our bucket list for a while. First, it was tricky finding where to go inside of the hotel. Once we checked in, we didn't get much information as we were seated. We waited a few minutes to see if a server would come by but after a while, we just ventured out and started on the buffet. It was 40 minutes before our server came by to welcome us & introduce herself & offer to get drinks. That felt really slow! Some food was perfect. Everybody at our table agreed the hash browns, crepes, & prime rib were the best items. Everything else we ate was fun to try but definitely seemed prepared to look pretty & feed the masses, which is what it IS meant to do. We were just hoping for better steak, salmon, & shrimp flavors. The desserts were all disappointing as well. It was fun to try. If the service were better, I would come back & just stick to the hash browns, crepes & prime rib but with such delayed service, I don't know if we'll come back. The band was very talented but we were seated where we couldn't hear them."
