"If I could I would give negative stars. We had an appointment for 4:00. We had to wait for 20 minutes to begin, and when asked about the fees, we were told a basic fee would be $149. After she filed our taxes we were told it would be $469, plus another $49 for a direct deposit. The next day we get a call from Janis that there was a mistake made of $1650. She says she entered the numbers in wrong and that our refund was being cut by $1650. So not only did they charge us way too much for a simple return, they messed and we’re getting less money now because of a mistake the preparer made. Not only that, when I told her both of our first names were spelled wrong, she said it’s ok they just go by the last name. I will NEVER use any Jackson Hewitt tax services ever again, I’d rather just do it myself and if I make a mistake that cost me, it’ll all be on me."
