"These guys get it. They just do. I run a small service company and these guys follow the book to a Tee every single time. We see very little issues on BDL’s pools even after 5+ years. Not too mention if you’re looking for custom rock work this is the only option. Props to Brad, Robbie and Logan, please keep doing what you’re doing the service guys love it and I don’t know if we have ever run into a customer that had a bad experience."

"In 2015, we decided to have an in-ground pool and faux rock water feature installed. After seeing two different local pools built by BDL Structures featured on two separate cable TV shows, we were excited to meet with them to give us a bid. We ultimately gathered 3 bids and did some research on each of the companies. It should have raised concern in the beginning that BDL had virtually no reviews online, good or bad, but the thought of having “the guy who had pools featured on TV” building our pool, enticed us to select Brad Long of BDL. They had to be the best, right? A TV show wouldn’t select a company with a bad reputation or one building substandard structures, right? Brad Long (BDL Structures, LLC) started construction on our pool and faux rock water feature towards the end of 2015. Our experience through the last 4 years (yes, 4 years), has been a nightmare. We ended up in court early this year (2020) seeking reimbursement for funds we had to pay to a second company (at his direction because “he was too busy”) to make adequate repairs to the water feature that began falling apart almost immediately. We reached out to Brad repeatedly regarding our concerns about the deterioration of the faux stone structure and his responses were defensive, mentioning how many they’ve built the same way and that we would never be satisfied. His repairs were a band-aid at best, only patching the most troubled spots. We won in small claims by default judgement because Brad Long failed to appear, waited 30 days for him to appeal the judgement (which he didn’t), then contacted him requesting payment of the debt he now owes us. His response was that we were lucky he had things going on and couldn’t make it to court which allowed us to win the judgement. While we pursue all avenues to try and collect this debt from Brad Long, we wanted to make public the bad experience we had with BDL Structures. There is no way we would recommend him to anybody, in any capacity. If you have already signed a contract with him, watch over him and his crew every-step-of-the-way, take TONS of pictures to protect your interests and get EVERYTHING in writing."

"BDL Pools was contracted to build an in ground hot-tub. The structure is 8x12. The job initially took 6 months to complete. The plaster had to be redone twice resulting from a poorly supervised concrete installation. Nothing was level wood forms were left in the final pour that is resulting in concrete cracking and walls moving. The walls moving has resulted in 2 automatic covers breaking because the uneven surface they travel on puts too much stress on the opening/retracting cord which snaps. The finish exterior stone has all cracked and fallen off the exterior twice due to BDL design and installation flaw. I have asked Brad Long for 2 years to warranty the pool and fix or if it cannot be remedied to tear out the pool and redo it. He does not respond and is a dishonorable business man. BDL lacks attention to detail and will cause you years of grief not to mention steal your money because you will not get a final product that you paid to be installed. STAY AWAY FROM BDL"

"In 2016, BDL did a new concrete deck around our community pool. They did not align one of the skimmers correctly so it is awful to empty the skimmer baskets because the opening in the concrete deck is offset over the skimmer hole. They left a ton of dried grout smeared on the tiles under the coping stones which took me 5 hours to clean off. The concrete they'd poured had cracks in it even before we opened the pool. They refused to come out and fix several other issues claiming we owed them money. The prior manager withheld $800 which was designated for lawn repair from driving their heavy trucks over the grass. They have done nothing for the lawn repairs and have been paid everything they were entitled to for the pool deck, but won't fix the skimmer opening. Communication was poor throughout the process and the project took much longer than planned."
